Is there a lesson to be learned from weeds?

If I open my eyes and heart, I can sense things that are beyond my personal knowledge. While stumbling across a weed, it reminded me of the Holy Spirit in my life.

I don't know why, but it caught my eye. It was distinct from the others, flourishing on a firm base, and getting everything it requires from above. It was deeply rooted in a solid foundation.

It made me reflect on my life and how well I am receiving nourishment from the Holy Spirit while striving for a strong foundation in the word of God. 

How receptive is my heart and mind to the word of the Holy Spirit? 

Do I resemble this weed that easily accepts what comes from above? 

Are there times when my mind is busy and distracted, causing me to not hear the voice of the Holy Spirit? 

The weed triggered the thoughts that were rolling around in my head. Flourishing by receiving everything it needs from above, this weed grows well. It was lush and green extending in every direction. 

I desire to have the same openness to receiving as this weed.

I want to be open and ready to receive all that the Holy Spirit is telling me with my mind and heart.

May the will of the Holy Spirit permeate every facet of my life. Instead of obsessing over every detail in my life, I desire to be guided by the Holy Spirit and trust in God.

Listen, Trust and act upon the guidance of the Holy Spirit that you will receive.  

The Holy Spirit's guidance will nourish and expand your  life in every direction.

Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
