I AM with youI snapped this shot while on a run. Through the trees you can see the green light, you may find it relaxing, and a lovely path ahead. You may get a feeling of anticipation when you look at these pictures, wondering what is coming next.I was raised in the flatlands of the Midwest, with prairies all around me that extended for miles. I watched the approaching storm from the horizon, and the rain moving gradually across the land. This made me feel I could get ready for whatever was about to come. Seeing this picture, I captured in the forest creates within me a sense of panic and fright.  Everywhere I look, I'm surrounded by trees, preventing me from seeing anything else. I can't see what might come from any direction, left, right, or even above, as the path ahead of me is not a straight one and I can't anticipate what's coming next. I'm anxious to discover what is coming. I'm trying to figure out where this path is headed. I want to want to prepare. Oh, but my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, tells me to trust in Him. Proverbs 3:5-6"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." My heart holds this understanding, but my mind races and makes it challenging for me to accept this. I need to put a stop to my doubts and remind myself that God is with me, providing me with all I need to succeed in life's journey.God understands that there will be times in our life that we, using only our own power and abilities, are not prepared. He will not leave us, he will give us everything we need. Whenever I try to do something on my own, I become fearful and scared, but when I trust in the power of God, knowing that he will be with me, helping me, restoring me, and will answer my prayers, I have peace. I can invite joy, peace, and redemption into my life. I pray now for anyone feeling fear, worry, or insecurity, knowing that these feelings are not from God. But the enemy tries to destroy the joy, peace, and goodness that God had intended for us to experience. Whatever the situation may be, God is our redeemer. We trust in him and we sing his praises. Amen.
